Client-supplied pricing removed from create_order

What's new

The create_order request no longer accepts price_template_id, or quantity on the items it carries. Both fields have been removed from the SDK API. What a player pays and how many units they get are resolved from the item catalog on the server.

Impact

Sending either field is now a rejected request rather than an ignored value, so an integration that still passes them has to drop them before it can create an order. Price templates are no longer selectable from the client at all — there is no SDK call left that reads or applies one.

To order more than one unit of an item, list the item once per unit in items, or model the multi-unit purchase as its own catalog item.

Changes

ResourceChange
create_orderRemoved the optional price_template_id request property
create_orderRemoved the optional quantity property from each entry in the items request array

Upgrade

  • Remove price_template_id from your create_order calls. Pricing follows the item catalog and the player's country.
  • Remove quantity from every item you send. Repeat the item in items if the player is buying several units of it.
  • If you built checkout parameters from a price template fetched through the SDK, drop that step — the checkout page prices the order itself.
